Computing is concerned with how computers and computer systems work, how they are designed and programmed, how to apply computational thinking and how to make the best use of technology.
At Key Stage 3 we combine three main strands of Computing: Computer Science, Information Technology and Digital Literacy.
At Key Stage 4 we offer GCSE Computer Science – students gain a real, in-depth understanding of how computer technology works. It offers an insight into what goes on ‘behind the scenes’, and includes one practical computer programming project, which many students find absorbing. We also offer Creative iMedia which focuses students more on developing digital graphics, websites and interactive digital products for a given audience.
