Technology subjects play their part in ensuring every student studies a broad and balanced curriculum. During Key Stage 3 students complete a range of learning experiences across the faculty by spending time in each area, ensuring that all students are able to make informed choices for GCSE. Currently we are offering a range of courses in KS4 – Food, Engineering, Computing and Construction.
In KS3 students experience each area during the year, learning to cook and apply the principles of nutrition and healthy eating; designing and making products from wood, plastic and other materials; learning the basics of computing and developing practical skills in all areas.
Technology prepares students to better understand what is around them in the material world and develops both creativity and critical thinking skills.
